Mens Perfume
Spicy
and cirtrusy aromas are especially prized as ingredients in
men's cologne as they provide a fresh, sharp and yet muskily
sexy impression on first smelling.
Do you think that fragrances are the preserve of women
alone? Think again. There is an entire market out there aimed
at making men smell good, sexy, fresh, confident – and it is
growing by the year. It is no longer considered 'feminine' to
want to smell nice.
With male celebrities marketing their own personal brands of
cologne aimed at fellow men it has become perfectly acceptable
for the male of the species to want to be as well perfumed as
his female mate.
Creating a fragrance for either gender involves a lot of
work and experimentation. Different types of fragrance and
ingredient are blended together and then blended again to
produce an attractive, desirable scent.
Spicy and cirtrusy aromas are especially prized as
ingredients in men's cologne as they provide a fresh, sharp and
yet muskily sexy impression on first smelling. As with scents
for women, there are several different stages to smelling a
men's cologne.
At first the scent tends to be sharp and perhaps
overpowering but within an hour or so of application this
sharpness is toned down to reveal the true 'heart' of the
cologne or perfume.
This is the scent as it was meant to be smelled, when
neither too fresh nor gone stale. Unfortunately, a good, well
blended cologne will not come cheap.
It is common to pay up to and over fifty dollars for a
bottle of decent, popular men's cologne – comparable with the
prices for the best women's fragrances. It is tempting perhaps
to go for cheaper imitation colognes which offer freshness and
a nice smell at a budget price.
Although some of these colognes are perfectly reasonable
they cannot match the luxuriousness of the expensive brands
with their painstaking mixture of different notes.
Moreover, those who suffer from sensitive skin or problems
with ezcema or similar need to be very careful when choosing a
fragrance, especially from the cheaper end of the market. Many
of the ingredients found in cheap cologne for both men and
women can exacerbate existing skin conditions and cause
problems like rashes and sore, dry skin.
Should this occur the only option is to discontinue use, so
it's worth spending a little more on a product that is
specifically designed for sensitive skin than going the budget
route but ending up with nothing to show for it!
It is important, if one has potential skin problems, to
always try out a new cologne on a small and unobtrusive patch
of skin first and then wait for up to twenty four hours to see
if there is going to be an adverse reaction.
